Case Study: JT’s Coconut Essence

JT’s Coconut Essence 100% pure Coconut Water was inspired from a chance tasting of fresh coconut water in the beautiful Thai countryside. This sparked a journey of discovery and product development to bring this great tasting and refreshingly healthy drink to you. JT’s Coconut Essence is a family owned company which have created something very special, with a focus on great taste while harnessing the plentiful benefits of the wonderful coconut fruit.

OnePoint were recently approached to assist with the ECommerce development of their online store.

After discussions with their financial controller, the project would be split into two phases; one being the implementation of a tiered pricing structure and second being the integration of product inventory and customer detail management with MYOB.

While the original product formatting was setup to use variants for quantity, this wasn’t efficient for tiered pricing. We replaced the multiple product variants to a single variant for each product with the option for multiple quantites. This involved changing both the product back-end setup and front end development on the storefront. From there we worked with the team at JT’s Coconut Essence to setup the tiered pricing for each product – for example, buy 6 items and receieve 30% off your total.

The second phase of the project was to integrate MYOB and Shopify. The reason for this was to streamline the exchange of customer and product information and reduce ‘double handling’. The Shopify application OneSaas was chosen by the client and after a quick setup, the product inventory and customer order details were synced between the two systems.
