Website Launch: Palfinger Australia

OnePoint recently had the pleasure of undertaking the development of the new Palfinger Australia website.

Incorporated in Australia in 1991, Palfinger Australia is the Australian distributor for the Palfinger range of products.

Palfinger Australia were in dire need of a website overhaul after running a Joomla based site which hadn’t received a rework in years. OnePoint were challenged with the task of implementing a custom responsive template that would bring the company into today’s day and age.

Wanting to move away from Joomla!, the staff were pleased to hear their new website would be running on WordPress. WordPress was chosen due to its flexibility with custom post types, intuitive functionality and its easy learning curve for staff to manage the site.

Built using custom WordPress template development, the custom theme boasts a ton of handy features including slideshow and gallery management tools, online events section, location finder with Google Maps geotargeting, news and blog feed, custom pop-up box creator, careers section and a bunch of custom post types to help the staff easily manage the different sections of the site.

OnePoint have also taken over the web hosting, upgrading from standard shared web severs to our AWS (Amazon) cloud servers to ensure optimal speed and security.
