It’s official; WordPress 4.6 “Pepper” is now available.
Dubbed as one of WordPress’ most important updates in a while, if you’re currently running on WordPress; it’s time to update your website.
The latest core update offers some very handy features that will make your day a little easier. These new features include:
WordPress now saves your content to the browser
In the past, WordPress’ version controlling and recovery options have been average at best. But from now on, WordPress saves your current draft to the browser. So if you’ve written 8 paragraphs of text, forgotten to hit save (we’ve all been here) and for some ungodly reason your browser crashes; re-open WordPress to start where you left off.
Ajax Powered Update Process
A feature that we’ve been patiently waiting for is finally here. Now you can download, install, update and remove plugins without constantly reloading pages.
Not only is this new updater a more steamlined process, it will save website owners a lot of time.
WordPress can now automatically download and use language packs for all of your plugins and themes, if they are available from WordPress’ translator community.
The WordPress dashboard now takes advantage of the fonts you already have, making it load faster and letting you feel more at home on whatever device you use.
